Member Relations Manager

Job Description
Hours/Pay:        Part-Time: 20 - 25 hours/week.  $11 - 14/hour based on experience
Job summary
The Member Relations Manager works with the Executive Director and membership to assist in promoting networking and creating business relationships.  The Member Relations Manager works with the general public to promote member businesses, services, and events.  The position requires excellent skills in: communications, customer service, Microsoft Office and other computer software, multi-tasking and the Lake Zurich and surrounding areas.    
Summary of essential job functions
  • Answer telephones / emails / walk-ins
  • Provide administrative support for the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Chamber members
  • Update/ maintain member files and process new member paperwork
  • Develop, assemble and distribute Prospective Member Packets, New Member Packets, and Member Renewal Packets
  • Create and send billing for new members, renewals, events and programs and post payments upon arrival
  • Assist with taking reservations for Chamber events and with check-in at events
  • Order office supplies
  • Sell Chamber Gift Checks
  • Secure/develop new residents list, assemble and distribute New Residents Mailings
  • Assist with recruitment and retention of members
  • Perform other duties as requested
Abilities required
  • Ability to work effectively with volunteer members and public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of the Lake Zurich and SW Lake County area.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software such as Microsoft Office, Facebook, LinkedIn, and QuickBooks or other financial software.
  • Ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision.
